Comprehensive Civil, Marine, MEP Structural & Environmental Engineering Surveying & Construction Engineering Site Planning & Development

Cape Liberty Cruise Port

Bayonne, New Jersey

We are the Engineer of Record and Permitting Agent for the Cape Liberty Cruise Port, which opened for business in May 2004. The Port, which was designed, permitted, and built within a five-month timeframe, consists of a 60,000 square foot passenger terminal facility, associated parking and transit facilities, and a passenger ship berth capable of accommodating the world's largest cruise ships.

Our scope of work included feasibility, design and construction administration for the following project components:

- Site Improvements (traffic, parking, utilities, security)

- Marine Facilities (berth, dredging, bollards)

- MEP (HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, lighting)

- Structural (building retrofit/repair, footings, architectural features)

- Permitting (NJ Department of Environmental Protection, US Army Corps of Engineers, local building permits)

We continue to serve as an on-call consultant for the Port, providing engineering and construction administration services. We are also engaged in long-term planning efforts to expand and modernize the Port facilities.
