DVB and MJA provided structural engineering services and mechanical, electrical and plumbing (MEP) services to the Facilities Project Administration of Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey. This project involved the replacement of the entire heating, ventilating and air-conditioning (HVAC) system in the School of Law building. The project also required the replacement and upgrading of those portions of the existing electrical systems in the building that serve the HVAC systems. Construction scheduling was especially critical to ensure that, to the greatest degree possible, the building continued to function normally while construction was occurring in selected areas. Phasing of this work required close cooperation between the contractor, Rutgers personnel and our engineers.
