Seven existing rest stops on the New Jersey Turnpike were added to and altered to modernize and improve appearance and functionality. Our structural services included new framing systems for additions, support of new facade treatments and structural reinforcement for support of new mechanical systems.
The work involved complete renovation of the rest stop restaurant buildings, which were originally built around 1951. Numerous modifications and additions had been made to these buildings over the years. Design work included new building fascias and canopies, support of new mechanical roof top equipment, building additions and corrective work in areas where structural deficiencies were discovered.
Our design drawings were prepared in accordance with New Jersey Turnpike standards and submitted to the agency for their review and approval.
